My Approach

I believe the foundation of effective therapy is a strong, trusting relationship. From our very first session, my priority is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and understood. I take the time to get to know you — your story, your strengths, and the challenges you’re facing — so we can work together in a way that feels meaningful and productive.

What You Can Expect

In our first session, we’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, your goals, and what you hope to gain from our work together. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you — no pressure, no judgment. Over time, we’ll identify patterns, explore new perspectives, and build practical skills you can apply in daily life.

My Philosophy on Change

I believe change is possible for everyone. While past experiences and current struggles shape us, they don’t have to define us. Therapy can help you develop self-awareness, strengthen resilience, and create the life you want — even in the face of challenges.

How I Tailor Therapy

My approach is person-centered, which means I meet you where you are and adapt each session to your unique needs. I draw from a variety of evidence-based therapies, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help you better understand and manage thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you live in alignment with your values.

  • Trauma-Focused Therapy to process and heal from difficult life events.

  • Mindfulness-Based Therapy to cultivate presence and calm.

  • Motivational Interviewing (MI) to clarify goals, build motivation, and take meaningful action.
